Cuomo: A Hopeful Tale

Gee whiz! I go on vacation, then Cuomo resigns and Britney Spears (at the very least) mentions Catholicism?! I’m kind of excited about what’s next. Maybe Bishop McElroy will revert? Maybe McCarrick will tell all? By the way, somebody should offer him a deal to give up the rest of the names. We all know there are far more than Cardinal Wuerl. Perhaps house arrest and financial restitution for all of the other names you know were tied to his disgusting behavior?  Yes, please.

So back to Andrew Cuomo, there’s a hopeful lesson to be learned in this sad tale. It was obvious he was going down. When the super-egos are given so much rope, they almost always hang themselves. They just can’t help it. They’re addicted to getting away with it. They’re addicted to the power they have. I’m sure a few will skate until death, but even that doesn’t mean they’ve escaped. They’ve got far more to worry about there.

Liberals eat their own. Eventually the super-egos will embarrass the other super-egos and we all know it’s all about them. Andrew Cuomo screwed up on Covid-19 big time, and those little mosquitos like Janice Dean were just going to keep biting until the other liberals cried uncle. They had to take him out on another charge since he couldn’t be allowed to tank their Covid tyranny.

I see the same thing happening in our Church. This is why I have so much hope that Cardinal Cupich, Bishop McElroy, Cardinal Wilton Gregory, Cardinal Joseph Tobin and club will either be prosecuted for something or will be given a cushy title at the Vatican with their own digs to keep them from further embarrassing the Holy Father who does not like to be embarrassed.  Wouldn’t it be nice if they could all go party together and leave us American faithful the heck alone? They’re looking more and more every day like the little, insignificant, elitist, megalomaniac prelates they are. I think Rome’s getting a little tired of them running to them whining. Even Cardinal Ladaria hasn’t been able to help them as of late. While National catholic Reporter and America Magazine try as hard as possible to lay down cover for them, the Vatican is starting to realize they aren’t quite as adept at dissent as the German bishops.

It’s very much time for the laity to send a big message to Rome that we do not support the small but obnoxious minority of our bishops and cardinals trying to take us down the German path. They are the past leaders of the abusive and ugly side of the dissenters of our Church. Our faithful bishops, cardinals and priests are our future. #Canon212

  1. As per your request good friend, Archbishop Cordileone sits on the top of my prayer request for my daily fifth decade of the Rosary. He does have to share the decade with a dozen other good priests I know, 3 nuns, and 5 deacons (yea, I get around, okay).

Wishing you and your family a blessed and exciting Summer, and keep up the good work.

To paraphrase you: So back to Donald Trump, there’s a hopeful lesson to be learned in this sad tale.

Can you agree? He has also been accused, not only of harassment but also assault, including rape. He has the biggest super ego known to mankind. He’s addicted to power, etc.

He’s not gone and you know it. It’s an easy way, though, to answer a question that you apparently don’t want to give a real answer to.

        1. Oh yeah TA, you voted for Biden…how’s that workin’ out for ya? If you had any sense of common decency you would be screaming bloody murder the way Biden is being used by those around him. His wife, son and his handlers should all be send to jail for elderly abuse. Everyone including democrats know he’s not all there. It’s not his fault as far as I’m concerned. But I do point a finger at the people around him including his family who are “addicted to power” at any cost including abusing an old man who obviously is in some stage of dementia.

Thanks for asking, Bob. It’s working out great for me. However, not sure why you brought up Biden since he is not the topic of this post. It’s the hypocrisy of accepting harassment/sexual abuse from Trump because he says he is anti-abortion so that makes it alright.

            1. Yeah you’re right TA. You caught me again. I knew you were a troll but again I took the bait. And OMM has been right for a long time about you. As in this post you bring up Trump. Misdirection of the topic at hand, distraction from the topic. Unable to focus on the content of the post. What else is new? I’ll try to remain on my guard.

            2. Teach, I’m a Canuck and have no dog in the Yankee political hunt but Joe Biden, has not only a major problem with political legitimacy (according to half the American voters) but is a known fondler just like a former disgraced governor on the other side of Lake Ontario from where I live. And then there is the question of his mental competence ……

As for the bishops mentioned by OMM, the worst are indeed “…filled with a passionate intensity.”

    1. Cuomo got away with it. This whole sexual harassment charge in order to drive him out of office was more preferable than having the Governor driven out of office and having potential charges brought against him of being responsible for the deaths of thousands of elderly in nursing homes because of his policies and in so doing, throwing a wrench into the left’s narrative of Covid virus.

Democrats do not care if someone of their ilk is brought down because of sexual scandals. They are close to the ground anyway and don’t have far to fall. However if Cuomo is charged with the deaths of the elderly in his state that leaves a other governors around the country responsible for the same thing since they implemented the same policy of sending infectious patients back to nursing homes. That is why the ladies walked out of the shadows as quickly as they did with charges of harassment. Get rid of Cuomo on a sex charge instead of homicide because the latter will bring down other democrat governors and we can’t have that. Call me cynical but I think those harassment charges are rather convenient and well timed: As soon as we find out about Cuomo’s nursing home scandal.

It is of no surprise that Democrats are more concerned about sexual harassment than the life of the elderly. They were never really big on life of others to begin with.

Holding on to resentments can be a real pain. There are ways to let go of them and get on with your life.

  4. Love your blogs OMM- you’re more up to speed than me on the actual dirt- I so hope Newsome goes as well, if we can turn CA’s ship around, the country will follow. Deus Vult.

  5. I agree with most of Bob’s comments.
Governor Cuomo might have “had it all” in the political realm with the Democrats in NY state and nationally, President Biden had his eye on him for something in his administration. In the end, he was his worst enemy.

  6. This has me wondering what is really behind the ouster of Cuomo. President Clinton faced not only sexual harassment, but rape allegations, and yet Democrats defended him to the last gasp, even preventing his conviction and removal from office after impeachment. We were endlessly lectured about how this was only sex, and no one should be removed from office because of mere sexual misconduct. This was trivial, we were told. The accusers were disreputable, we were told. A man can be a great statesman despite being sexually depraved, we were told. And there the matter stands to this day. And hey, what about Ted Kennedy? He sent a woman to the bottom of Poucha Pond and left her to die. And Democrats stood by Teddy to his dying day. All of a sudden, along comes Governor Cuomo. As far as I know–and correct me please if I’m wrong–no one has accused him of rape, just being a serial groper and dirty talker. And he’s not even a president. Just a governor. And the Democrats dragged him before the Spanish Inquisition. The Democrats! What’s really going on here? Who really gave the orders to get rid of Cumo, and why? Perhaps the Clintons? Is Hillary Clinton thinking of running for governor of New York, and she needs Cuomo out of the way? Is DeBlasio pulling the strings? Obama? One thing is for sure: Cuomo is not being removed for sexual harassment. Democrats care nothing about that when one of their own stands accused.

      1. I don’t believe that for one minute. I don’t think there was ever the slightest chance that Cuomo would have been held to account for his nursing home decisions by anyone but, perhaps, the voters, and even that is very far from clear in liberal New York. Democrats by now are renown for their contempt for human life. After abortion and Terri Schiavo, I don’t think anyone who votes Democrat is shocked anymore when they sacrifice human life for political expediency. And Democrats renounced chastity long ago to the extent that they’ve grown careless about obtaining consent before indulging. No. Whoever gave the order to take Cuomo down was acting either in his/her own future political interests or was carrying out a vendetta. I don’t think we yet have any idea what the reason is or who gave the green light or even what kind of leverage this behind-the-scenes entity has over New York politics. We may or may not ever find out.

Clinton had consensual sex with a 22 yo. He was impeached because they said he lied. He wasn’t found guilty. This also happened well before the MeToo movement. I can think of other democrats who resigned under pressure for the same reasons as Cuomo. Remember Al Franken? Jim Jordan and Matt Gaetz have not felt any pressure to resign from members of their party. Trump did not receive pressure from Republicans even though he had affairs. So stop with the conspiracy theories about Hilary.
